As a kid the only dishes I ate that are made with Pumpkin are curries and side dishes that go well with rice. I learned that Pumpkin is used in making so many delicious dishes like breads, latte, ice creams, pies to name a few.
You can get store bought pumpkin puree but homemade puree gives a better taste and texture to the dishes. It’s super easy to make and can be frozen too.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time : 45 minutes
Makes : 2 cups
Ingredients:
Orange Pumpkin : 1 medium
Method:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cut the pumpkin into half, place the pieces on a cookie sheet upside down and bake for 45 minutes.
Let it cool and take out the pulp with a fork and puree it in a blender.
Puree can be store in the refrigerator for 5-7 days or frozen for 1 month for best taste.
