Strawberry Banana Smoothie is a simple to make smoothie. These flavours go well together which makes the smoothie addictive.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Serves : 2

Ingredients:

Strawberry : 1 cup sliced

Banana : 2 sliced

Honey : 2 tablespoons

Almond/soy milk : 1 cup

Flax seeds : 1 teaspoon

Method:

Add all ingredients listed in a blender jar and blend till smooth. Serve immediately.

Jackfruit is an exotic fruit grown in tropical regions and it is a native fruit in South India. It has a lot of health benefits. The raw fruit is usually used as a meat substitute and the ripen fruit is eaten raw or used to make desserts, ice creams etc.,

This smoothie is made with ripen fruit. I used soy milk but your choice of milk can be used.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Serves : 2

Ingredients:

Jackfruit pieces : 1 cup

Soy Milk : 1 cup

Honey : 1 teaspoon

Healthy Mix Recipe: 1 teaspoon

Instructions:

Add ingredients to a blender jar and blend till smooth.

Serve immediately if you like the liquid consistency. If you like thick smoothie, refrigerate for 2 hours and serve.

This Icy Choco mint shake is made with ice, milk and Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (No Churn),

My daughter loves Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and wanted a milk shake that is similar to Shamrock shake. So, I made this shake and she loved it.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Makes : 2 glasses

Ingredients:

Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream (No Churn) : 1 cup

Chilled milk : 1 1/2 cups

Ice cubes : 1/2 cup

Mint extract : 1/2 teaspoon

Green food colour : 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions:

Add all the listed ingredients to a blender jar and blend till frothy. Serve immediately.

Pink Herbal Tea

This Herbal tea is made with Sappan wood or Pathimugam which is a popular thirst quencher in Kerala. Bark of the tree has a lot of medicinal benefits, antioxidants and once it’s brewed, it gives a beautiful pink color.

Preparation Time: 2 minutes

Cook Time : 8 minutes

Serves : 4

Ingredients:

Sappan wood/ Pathimugam : 1 tablespoons

Vattiveru : few strands

Water : 1 litre

Instructions:

Add ingredients to a saucepan and bring it to a boil.

Turn off the stove and strain the tea.

Serve immediately.

Ariani is made with Greek yogurt, water and salt. It’s very similar to the Indian buttermilk. Just a little more foamy. It’s a cooling drink in summer months.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Serves : 3

Ingredients:

Plain Greek Yogurt : 2 cups

Chilled water : 2 cups

Salt to taste

Method:

In a blender jar, add yogurt, water, salt and blend until it’s very foamy on the top.

Pour it into glasses that are quarter-filled with crushed ice. Serve immediately.

Pineapple Apple Smoothie is a refreshing and flavourful drink. Pineapple and Apple should be blended first and add the rest of ingredients so the smoothie is not chunky.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Serves : 2

Ingredients:

Pineapple : 1 cup diced

Apple : 1 cored and diced

Banana : 1 small sliced

Soy Milk : 1/2 cup

Ice cubes : 1/2 cup

Method:

Add Pineapple and apple in a blender jar and blend till smooth. Add banana, soy milk, ice and blend till smooth. Serve immediately.

Grapes are in season and love these seedless and sweet green grapes. We always eat just fresh fruit but with my smoothie run, I wanted to give a try to make a smoothie. My little one loved it.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Makes : 1 glass

Ingredients:

Green grapes : 1 cup

Banana : 1

Healthy Mix : 1 teaspoon

Cold Milk : 3/4 cup

Honey : 2 tablespoons

Method :

Mix all ingredients listed in a blender jar and blend till smooth. Serve immediately.

This is a chocolate lover drink. It’s a healthy, creamy and flavourful smoothie.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Serves : 1

Ingredients:

Banana : 1 large sliced

Cocoa powder : 2 teaspoons

Cold milk : 1 cup

Honey : 1 1/2 tablespoons

Ice cubes : 4

Method:

Add all the ingredients in a blender jar and blend till smooth. Make sure there are no banana chunks.

Serve immediately.

Hot Chocolate

Hot Chocolate made with milk, cocoa powder and chocolate gives the drink a silky smooth texture and it taste delicious. It hardly takes 5 minutes to make this hot chocolate.

The sweetness can be adjusted as needed. You can use whole milk or 2% milk. Whole milk gives a richer flavour.

Preparation Time : 1 minute

Cook Time : 5 minutes

Serves : 2

Ingredients:

Warm Milk : 2 cups

Granulated sugar : 1/4 cup

Unsweetened cocoa powder : 1/8 cup

Chocolate : 1/4 cup (chips or chopped chocolate)

Vanilla extract : 1/4 teaspoon

Method:

In a saucepan, add the warm milk, sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate and whisk well. Whisk occasionally until the chocolate melts.

Add vanilla, whisk and turn off the stove.

Serve hot topped with whip cream or chocolate shavings or both.

This Blueberry Fizz is a fizzy and refreshing drink that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It’s a perfect summer drink, can also be served as a welcome drink.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Serves :1

Ingredients :

Blueberry crush : 2 tablespoons

Plain soda : 1 1/2 cups

Fresh blueberries : 4

Ice cubes : 4

Method :

Add ice cubes, blueberry crush in a glass and stir. Gently pour in the soda and stir again. Top it with blueberries and serve immediately.
